Charles Emerson Young

Charles Emerson Young of Danville died Tuesday in his residence. He was 79. Born Sept. 2, 1932, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the late Emerson and Pansey Sullivan Young. He married Shirley Jean Cox on Feb. 3, 1956. She survives. Mr. Young graduated from Washington High School and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He retired from Unipak as a plant manager. Survivors include a son, Kenny L. Young of Indianapolis; daughters Angie D. Gardner of Indianapolis and Stacey L. Davidson and husband Mark of Crawfordsville; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services are 1 p.m. March 26 at Flanner and Buchanan – Floral Park , Indianapolis, with Jesse Cox officiating. Burial will be in Floral Park.
