Charles Eidson, 85, of Noblesville, Indiana, passed away on September 11, 2025. He was born on May 11, 1940, in Evansville, Indiana, to parents, Walter Lee Eidson, Sr. and Nancy Catherine (Peck) Eidson.

The family moved to Indianapolis when Charles was two years old. He graduated from Bridgeport Elementary School and Ben Davis High School. Following high school, Charles attended Butler University for two years and studied drafting through correspondence school. He served in the Indiana National Guard and Army Reserve in the 1960s. He was stationed at Fort Knox in Radcliffe, Kentucky and Fort Bragg in Georgia.

Charles met his lovely future wife Wilma Jean Mizer on a blind date. They married in August 1968 at Worthington Church of Christ and lived on the west side of Indianapolis for 54 years before moving to Noblesville, Indiana.

Charles’ main interests were his family and sports. He was devoted to a life of helping his family’s success. Charles and his father started a business, WE-CE Industrial Services, that designed and sold conveyor belt systems. After WE-CE Industrial Services closed, Charles was a structural steel welder at Churchman Brothers. He then moved into the automotive industry working at AM General before retirement at Subaru Isuzu in West Lafayette.

Charles enjoyed sports. He loved practicing baseball with Mark as a young child. The focus for Charles changed to golfing with his son. Later in his life, Charles enjoyed watching the Colts, Boilermakers, and Fever. He never missed watching a Colts game. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. Some of his favorite games were Canasta, Euchre and Bridge.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Wilma J. Eidson; children, Kimberly Sperry (Bret Sperry) and Marcus Eidson (Jessica Clevenger); and his grandchildren, Kali Sperry, Grace Sperry, Charlie Eidson, Izzy Eidson, and Rosemary Eidson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Katie Mae Natalie; brothers, Walter L. Eidson Jr. and Jerry G. Eidson; and his niece, Cynthia Lynn Eidson.

A graveside service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on September 26, 2025, at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery – 4180 Westfield Rd., Westfield, IN 46062.
