Charles D. Smitley

Charles D. Smitley, 86, Indianapolis, passed away June 3, 2014. He was born on February 29, 1928 in Paris, IL, the son of Lonzo and Martha (Colccasure) Smitley. Charles retired from Kroger Company after 30 years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Local #135. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph Smitley. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Preston) Smitley; his daughter, Donna Smitley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maxine Lovell, Thelma Herrington, and Janice Beavers; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be on Saturday, June 7 at 11 AM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street. Visitation will be on Friday, June 6 from 4-8 PM.
