Charles "Chuck" Donald Black

Charles Donald “Chuck” Black was born on May 13, 1960 in Cincinnati Ohio and moved with his family to Wampee SC when he was six years old.

He graduated North Myrtle Beach High School in 1978. After years of working at a family run IGA, he got his Associates Degree in finance from Horry Georgetown Technical College. In 2001, he found the career he was meant to have and spent 20 years working for Professional Financial Services where he worked his way up to supervisor of Indiana and Kentucky offices.

He was an avid collector of Cincinnati Reds memorabilia, watches, and baseball caps. He loved bowling, his family, and his dog Teddy.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Jessica and three children Lauren, Gregory and Bennett.  He has several loving cousins, brother and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Jo Carol Livingston Black, father Ernie Ray Black and older brother Ray Allen Black.

Funeral Services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.  Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 at the funeral home and also from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday.  Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com.
