Charles C. Capshaw, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away September 9th, 2021. He was born in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, April 15th, 1944, to parents Charley Ray and Flossie C. (Claridy) Capshaw. In October 1962, he married the love of his life, Lora Sue Mundy. They shared 59 wonderful years together. Lora Sue passed away in 2011. He worked as a superintendent at M.D Rowe Construction for many years before retiring, a job he excelled at and enjoyed. Charles was a loving, easygoing gentleman. He was a big fan of cars, caring for his own vehicles and attending car shows. He loved NASCAR, and enjoyed classic country music. Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his children Mark (Jodi) Capshaw and Tina (Jimmy) Vawter; grandchildren Teasha, Stephanie, Morgan, Madalyn, Keaton, and Khloe; and great-grandchildren Harper and Lincoln. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lora Sue and his canine companion Fred. Visitation for Charles will be Thursday, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 10am-12pm. His funeral will begin at 12. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
