Charles Brown

Charles M. Brown Sr. 96, Indianapolis, passed away March 30, 2013. He was born July 30, 1916, in Indianapolis, the son of the late Thaddeus and Mary (Ryan) Brown. He married Dorothy (Sheerin) Brown, who preceded him in passing April 24, 2012, after 57 years of marriage. He received his Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the University of Notre Dame. He served in the United States Navy in World War II. He owned and operated Charles M. Brown Architects, Inc. since 1946. Charles was a member of The Players Club, The Woodstock Club, and a founding member of St. Luke Catholic Church. He is survived by a son, C. Matthew (Donna) Brown Jr.; three daughters, Marian (Terry) Culp, Carolyn (Steve) Wills, Emily M. Brown; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in passing by his sister, Dorothy Donnelly. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7575 Holliday Drive East. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of mass. There will be a reception following the services from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at The Woodstock Club, 1301 West 38th Street.
