Charles A. Mittman

Charles “Chuck” Mittman, 79, of Greenfield, passed away May 10^th, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Indianapolis August 30^th, 1943, to parents Carl and Edith (Jones) Mittman.

Chuck grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Arsenal Tech High school.

He worked for Caito Foods as a supervisor for many years before retiring.

In 1965, Chuck married the love of his life, Karen Pirtle. They shared 57 wonderful years together.

Chuck was a strong, hardworking man. In his younger years, he loved to hunt and take his children fishing. He always loved the sunshine, and he enjoyed long drives through the country. He was a devoted husband, an excellent father, and loving grandpa.

Chuck is survived by his wife Karen; his children Mike Mittman, Jeff (Christy) Mittman, and Angie (Todd) Clements; grandchildren Jamie and Payton Mittman, and Lauren, Matthew, and Michael Clements; and his siblings Dick Mittman and LuAnn Wulf.

He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Edith Mittman.

Chuck will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
