Charles A. 'Chuck' Ettinger

Charles A. "Chuck" Ettinger, 83, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully on Monday July 7, 2014. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family and friends and will be missed by many. Chuck was born in Indianapolis on May 26, 1931 to the late Gus and Nancy Ettinger. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years Mary Annetta Ettinger, two brothers and three sisters. Chuck, a Navy Veteran of the Korean War is survived by his sister, Betsy Key, his children, Steven (Andrea) Ettinger, Nancy Adams, Janice (Mike) Baugh, Charla Ettner, Mary (Arthur) Haupt, Tom (Candi) Ettinger, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Chuck was a deacon and an active member of the Fleming Garden Christian Church, a member of the Lynhurst Masonic Lodge 723, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, American Legion Post 497 and a retired Teamster of Local 135. Services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan - Floral Park on Friday July 11, with visitation starting from 11:00am until 1:00 pm with service starting at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the services at Floral Park Cemetery.
