Charlene Horton-Jacobs, 76, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on June 20, 2014. She was born August 6, 1937 in Indianapolis, IN. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents Paul Albert and Estella Marie-Shepherd Horton, her sister Linda Lou Horton-McCleery, her brother Ronald Paul Horton, and twin sons Larry and Garry Jacobs.
Surviving are her Children, Becky (Tom) Sparks, Cheryl (Al) Jacobs-Morrison, George "Will" (Linda) Jacobs, grandchildren, Matthew (Lauren) Sparks, Matthea Sparks, Adam (Maddy) Jacobs, Aaron Jacobs, Austin Jacobs, Alexander Jacobs and great granddaughter, Addyson Jacobs.
Charlene was employed by Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 28 years, retiring in 1991. After retirement she went to work for the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles working at the Carmel branch. She left the BMV to move to Astor Park, Florida to take care of her parents and Aunt. Several years after the death of her father, she and her mother returned to Indiana in 2007 where she remained until her death.
