Born on June 1,1959, in Madison, Wisconsin, Charisse’s journey through life was marked by her radiant spirit, genuine love for others, and unwavering determination to overcome any challenges that came her way.
Charisse was not only a devoted wife to her loving husband, David Cogell, with whom she shared 36 wonderful years of marriage, but also an esteemed business partner to David Blue Chaparral. Together, they ran successful ventures, including Sun Dance and Red Oak Property, showcasing Charisse's entrepreneurial flair and commitment to her community.
Her lively personality was illuminated through her love for live music, especially the joyful tunes that echoed in the bars she helped to manage. Charisse had a profound passion for family, often visiting her brother Greg and his wife Brenda, as well as her beloved nephews. She always made it a point to cherish those moments, drawing strength and happiness from her family ties. Watching the Food Network ignited her passion for cooking, as she delighted in crafting scrumptious meals for David, inviting warmth and love into their home. Charisse was a lover of animals and trained her precious pup Theodore. They were inseparable for 6 years. He never left her side during that time.
A true creative at heart, Charisse found joy in house renovations, turning spaces into beautiful havens infused with her unique touch. The beach was her paradise; anywhere there was sand and sun, she felt truly alive, relishing in the soothing sounds of the waves and the warmth of the sun.
Charisse is survived by her loving husband David, her brothers Greg (Brenda) Hagen and Guy (Karen) Hagen, and her cherished nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving parents Carl and Frances Hagen, whose memories she carried with her throughout her life.
