Cenaise Navarre

Cénaïse Navarre, 69, Indianapolis, and formerly of Descahos, Haiti, passed away September 19, 2016. She was born October 12, 1946 in Descahos, Haiti, the daughter of Jean-Baptiste Saint Pierre and Dorcilia Guillaume. Cénaïse was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She dearly loved her family. Cénaïse was an entrepreneur and a very hard working woman. She loved life, enjoyed cooking and singing. Cénaïse was a member of the Metanoia Christian Church a Haitian Ministry of Evanston Wesleyan Church. She will be remembered for her kindness and giving spirit. Cénaïse spent a life time helping less fortunate children to attend school, sent money to Pastors to help feed the hungry. She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Rev. Michel Navarre; her children, Kénaze Navarre (Linda), Michelet Navarre (Magda), Esther Navarre and family, Sénèque Navarre (Myrianne), Daniel Navarre (Lutèce), and Keterson Navarre (Laurie); her grandchildren, Caleb Navarre, Jeremiah Navarre, Kendrick Navarre, Melissa Navarre, Neissa Navarre, Stacy Navarre, Tayjah Harper, Jonathan Jeanty, Senchelle Navarre, Ceina Navarre, Marsha Navarre, Saneika Navarre, Princesse Navarre, Rebecca Navarre and Prince Toby Navarre; and her sisters, Paulphine Pierre and Simala Saint Pierre. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 8 at 11 AM at John Wesley Free Methodist Church, 5900 W. 46th Street, Indianapolis, with Rev. Jim Weinman, Pastor Jean-Pierre Priso, and Pastor Kénaze Navarre officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, October 7 from 5-8 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis. Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
