Celia Salas Ontiveros, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away January 23, 2014. Celia was born July 27, 1944 in Brownsville, Texas the daughter of Ramiro and Francisca Salas. She owned and operated Celia's Mexican Restaurant for several years and was an interpreter for the Spanish American Center.
Celia is survived by her husband, Camilo Ontiveros of Indianapolis; children, Sylvia Doss, Noe Mancillas, Irma Cantu, Ruben Mancillas, Celia De Leon, Leandro De Leon and Ramiro Salas; 20 grandchildren, Stacey Padgette, Mark Padgette, Anthony Doss, Nicole Doss, Noe Mancillas, Jesus Mancillas, Sierra Mancillas, Jessica Mancillas, Ruben Mancillas, Jr., Kassandra Mancillas, Enrique Mancillas, Juan Vasquez, Jose Cantu, Ivan Cantu, Kenneth Chadwell, Jr, Erica Chadwell, Micaela Salas, Olivia Salas, Adrian Salas and Isabella Salas; and 28 great-grandchildren; Cameron, Jaylen, Gabriela, Matthew, Reyna, Eligah, Anthony, Jason, William, Donovan, Caden, Caleigh, Joseph, Brandon, Cheyenne, Lily, Abriane, Cyrus, Larissa, Aubrey, Jax, Sarinitty, Abrianna, Hayden, Jackson, Amiaya Noemi Vasquez, Brantley Jace Chadwell and Ezra Anthony Mendel; siblings, Guadalupe Salas, Abelardo Salas, Manuela Mancillas and Francisca Vasquez, Ramiro Salas. Celia was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Adrian De Leon; and siblings Petra Morales and Maria Salas.
Visitation will be held 3:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan -Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, 46229. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Flanner and Buchanan-Memorial Park with burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
