Cecilia 'Diane' Carter

Cecilia "Diane" Carter, 65, New Palestine, IN, passed away February 26, 2014. She was born November 25, 1948 in Indianapolis, the daughter of George and Catherine (Moore) Bodenhamer. Diane attended Arlington High School. She retired after 30 years as a beautician, and also retired after a 20 year career with Wal-Mart as a cash administrator. Diane bowled in many leagues over the years. She enjoyed watching sports, including NASCAR and Pacers and Colts games. Diane was a member of New Palestine United Methodist Church, and enjoyed feeding the homeless in downtown Indianapolis and helping her community in any way she could. She married Ken Carter on June 23, 1974, and he survives. Diane is also survived by her sons, Jeffrey and Patrick Conover; her grandson, Ryan Conover; her great-grandchild; her sister, Gladys; her mother-in-law, Janet Carter; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Services will be on Saturday, March 1 at 1 PM at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East. Visitation will be on Friday, February 28 from 5-8 PM at the funeral center.
