Cecil "Duane" Moran

Cecil Duane Moran, 76, of Carmel, passed away peacefully at Riverwalk Village on Sunday, July 18, 2021. Duane was born August 9, 1944 in Greensburg, KY to the late Henry “Piper” and Nellie Moran (McAllister).

Duane retired as a Systems Accountant from Fort Benjamin Harrison Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) after 30+ years of service. Duane was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Westfield for 42 years. He was a veteran of The United States Air Force. Duane enjoyed serving on multiple committees at church, working in his yard, walking the Monon Trail, and socializing with his friends from the Heritage Sunday School class at CUMC. But, most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan-Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Rd, Westfield, IN.

Duane was preceded in death in 2015 by his wife of forty-four years, Jackie Moran. Duane is survived by his children: Aaron (wife, Stacey) Moran and Julie (husband, Joel) Frey; grandchildren Kelsey and Kyla Moran and Evan and Aubrey Frey.
