Catherine 'Kay' Lake

Catherine "Kay" Lake, 89, Carmel, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015. She was born September 1, 1925, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Welch) Karvatt. She married Lelyn Deane Lake, who preceded her in passing in 1967. Kay was a graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy and retired in 1991 as a hospital pharmacist from St. Vincent Hospital. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and Delta Gamma Sorority at Purdue University. She is survived by her five children, Mike Lake, Cindy (David) Leverenz, Bill (Kathy) Lake, John Lake, and Carol Fiddler; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a sister, Pat (Jack) Murphy. She was preceded in passing a grandson. Services will be at 11:30 am Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral center. Memorial contributions may be directed to Riley Hospital for Children.
