Catherine "Cappy" Kashuba, 87, of Indianapolis passed away Friday, September 12, 2014. She was born June 30, 1927 in West Caldwell, New Jersey to the late Floyd and Henrietta Buttenbaum Howard.
Catherine was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church. Her church involvement has included lots of activities. She was always humming or singing hymns, and even played the cornet in a marching band. Laughter and humor was a vital part of her life, and you knew that "Howard Laugh" as soon as you heard it. She never met a stranger, and gave radical love to anyone she met, including her family who loves and misses her dearly.
She is survived by her children Ken (Nancy) Kashuba, Donna (Jim) Anderson, and Darlene (Dave) Whitis; siblings Virginia Smolley, Eleanor Johnson, Louise Makowski, Edith Szapor, and Robert Howard; grandchildren Jimmy, John, Kyle, Craig, Kevin, Geri-Lynn, Kirstin, Blake, David, Keith, Clay, Daniel, and Dana; and great-grandchildren Parker and Asher.
In addition to her parents, Catherine is preceded in death by her husband John, son Kevin Kashuba, twin children who died in infancy, as well as siblings Russel Howard, Mildred Stillitino, Arlaine Miller, Marian Crowhurst, and Dorris Martin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Colonial Hills Baptist Church.
