Catherine F. (Koers) Wenzler, 67, passed away peacefully and joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday, January 3, 2014. She was born in Beech Grove, IN on May 31, 1947 to the late Vernon F. Koers Sr. and Rosemary A. (Pruitt) Koers.
She was the oldest of seven children and was raised in Holy Name and St. Philip Neri Parishes. She was a graduate of Scecina Memorial High School. She was a successful Marketing Representative for many years and received several top salesperson awards. She also received a community award for her philanthropic gardening downtown and was known as the "Flower Lady" by many.
She was a tremendous soul whose attributes will never be surpassed. Her work ethic and devotion to her family and friends is unquestioned. She was a natural born people person, and she utilized that in her employment endeavors. Her love towards others was well known by the many she touched and met. She was patient, loving, and endeared by all who had the privilege to be around her. She was the epitome of a family matriarch, especially to her children and siblings. She was guided by her unwavering belief and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ.
She was extremely creative, as seen with her heart felt crafts. She would make them for the closest to her heart or for a stranger that had made a simple sentiment. Her smile and laugh brought joy to everyone. Her "vacations" were traveling, reading, cooking, and being by a calm serene lake.
Her spirit is with our Savior, and we celebrate all she was through prayer and recollection of our dear mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, cousin and friend.
She is survived by her children, Tamara Ramon, Michael Wenzler, and Alice Wenzler; siblings, Vernon (Diane) Koers, Jr., Gregory (Becky) Koers, Keith (Vicki) Koers, Jessie (Mike) White, and Kimberly (Michael Lehane) Pacheco-Koers; grandchildren Sarah Ramon, Marissa Ramon, Keadon Fisher, and Aidan Wenzler; 12 nieces and nephews; and 21 great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Koers.
