Carroll Loyd Newell December 4th, 1932 - September 14th, 2015
Carroll 82 of Indianapolis, was born in Science Hill, Kentucky to the late Willie P. and Velma E. (Godby) Newell. He is the last of six children;
Charles, Agnes, James, his twin brother Harold and Paul. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Bennie Hamilton Newell; two daughters
Elizabeth A. Smith (Tommy), Brenda K. Dawson (Gordon) and one son; Edwin P. and friend (Sherry).
He was blessed with four grandchildren; Jennifer Smith-Brewer (Jeff), Kimberly Smith-Goodrich (Eric), Benjamin C. King (Kyla) and Charles C. King.
He was extra blessed with five great-grandchildren; Jackson and Kaitlyn Brewer, Audrey and Harrison Goodrich, and Kennedy King. As a hard working carpenter, he had the talent and ability to build or fix anything. His expertise in this field was even extended to the building of Eastlawn Weselyan Church where he was a member for over 50 years. Dad had a T shirt that read; " If it's broke, Dad can fix it ", and he did. Carroll was given a willing heart to help and take care of others needs with his capabilities. He was also know as the "Ford Man", he loved to joke around with those who didn't drive one ( you know who you are ). Or he always had a Kentucky joke ready to tell, he could make you smile. He is with the Lord now asking what needs to be done or fixed. His loving kind spirit with be kept close in hearts forever. We all will miss him dearly but knowing he at rest with the Lord makes it all worth it.
