Carolyn Sue Strycker

Carolyn Sue (Chowning) Strycker 89 of Indianapolis IN entered her Eternal Life on March 29, 2023.  Sue was born on August 23, 1933, in Sullivan, IN.  Sue was the wife of the late Edward Lee Strycker who she married on June 26, 1955.  Together they had three children Karen, Kim and Tom. Sue followed the same career path as her mother and became an RN which became a family tradition, as her sister, sister-in-law, daughter Kim and daughter -in-law Melanie were all nurses. Sue was an avid reader. she enjoyed many authors, one of her favorite authors was Karen Kingsbury. Sue was also a stamp collector and has many albums to show all of her work. Other than being a good daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, Sue was also a good neighbor.  She loved celebrating everyone’s birthday and making the birthday person feel special. Sue loved visiting many US Presidents homes and libraries as well as historical site and cemeteries. she also made many albums of these vacations. With Sue being a woman of faith, one of her passions was praying for cancer and sick patients and sending them cards. Sue was very loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. Sue passed away the same day as her beloved husband ED did 8 years ago.

Sue is survived by her by her children Karen Cockrum, Kim Blackburn and Tom (Melanie) Strycker. also surviving Sue is her sister Shirley Adkins, grandchildren Jemi, Jeremy and Kyle Powell, Kaylee (Adam) Nees, Conner Strycker and A.J. (Sara) Cockrum. Great grandchildren Axel and Casson Powell and Malcom Nees.
