Carolyn M. Mayes

Carolyn M. Mayes, 84, Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Kindred Transitional Care, Greenwood. She was born June 30, 1927 in Attica the daughter of Anna Mae (Meyers) and Joseph Beard. Carolyn had worked as a waitress at Wheelers and Howard Johnson's also in food service at Western Electric. She was a member of Good Shepard United Methodist Church. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Tonda (Jerry) Logan; step-daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Kimbley and Lana Mayes; grandchildren, Stacey Eckert and Teresa Logan; great grandchildren, Scott and Dustin Hill, Cassie Taylor,Justin Short and Mick and Ashton Robinson; one great-great grandchild, Titus Bentley Williams-Hill and a sister, Christine Patchett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Mayes; two sisters and five brothers. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park. Burial will follow in Floral Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
