Carolyn A. Romshe

Carolyn A. Romshe, MD, 74 of Carmel, IN, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Carolyn was born September 28, 1937 in Lima, OH to the late Howard F. and Florence F. (Kaeck) Romshe. She received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and Medical Doctor from The Ohio State University. She served her internship at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO and her residency at Ohio State. She was an Associate Professor in Pediatric Endocrinology at The Ohio State University, retiring in 1995. Carolyn was a member of Colonial Hills Baptist Church, Indianapolis and the American Medical Association. She was an avid supporter and fan of The Ohio State University and was a life member of its Alumni Association. Carolyn was a talented photographer. Friends and family are invited to gather from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, January 23 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 24 at Colonial Hills Baptist Church. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery. Carolyn is survived by her sister, Sandra (husband, Bradway) Phillips; cousins, Richard (wife, LaVonne) Romshe, Alice (husband, Don) Sandkuhl, Steve (wife, Carolyn) Romshe. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Hope in Crisis or the Colonial Hills Kindergarten program.
