Caroline L. Bryson-Wallace, 82, of Martinsville, Indiana passed away on May 13, 2018. She was born April 8, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana to James and Beulah Sidebottom; one of 5 children.
She married Harold Wallace in 1953 after the two were set up by her father, James. They built a beautiful family and remained deeply in love until Harold’s passing in 1989. Caroline was lucky enough to find love twice, her daughter Cindy introduced her to a man at the local Moose Lodge and she knew he was the one. She spent the last 21 years of her life with husband, Kenny Bryson. Caroline was an LPN nurse who gained her training through Methodist Hospital. She remained a nurse for over 40 years, retiring at age 71 from Morgan County Hospital in Martinsville. Family remembers her as a fun-loving, mother and grandmother, with a knack for music and dancing. She played both the piano and tambourine and sang in the church choir. She loved traveling, especially to Florida and Arizona, enjoyed playing Bingo, and had a great love for cats. She was a Godly woman who attended Gateway Tabernacle in Martinsville, Indiana and loved sharing her love for God with those around her. Caroline was giving, loving, and accepting, everything others only dream of being. She was a remarkable woman, the “movie star” of the family, and will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of meeting her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Wallace; brother, Lonnie Sidebottom; brother-in-law, Randy Russell. Surviving to cherish her memory are husband, Kenny Bryson; children, Cindy (Randy) Hoskins, Brenda Wallace, Harold Wallace, Chester (Mary) Wallace, Pam (Rick) DeGloyer; siblings, James (Darlene) Sidebottom, Jr., Harold (Norma) Sidebottom, Marjorie Russell; 16 grandchildren, many loving great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family and friends.
