Carole Ann Moore, 83, departed from this world on March 29, 2025, at her home in Indianapolis, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and joyful memories. Born on February 25, 1942, in Indianapolis, Carole lived her life with a warm and kind-hearted spirit that touched all who knew her.
Carole met the love of her life, Terry G. Moore in 1958 and married June 10th 1961. They shared a legacy of 64 years of marriage.
A devoted mother, Carole cherished the moments spent with her daughters, Dawn M. Barber (Aaron) and Holly A. Moore. Her role as a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy, as she found delight in watching her grandsons, James Pearsey (Chelsea Clark) and Lucas M Barber, grow and flourish. Carole's heart swelled with pride at the sight of her great-grandchildren—Faith Barber, Liam Barber, Marcie Pearsey, Michael Pearsey, and Holland Ellis who brought light and laughter into her life.
Carole was a woman of many passions. She shared her love for the great outdoors with her family through camping trips, fishing adventures, and hunting excursions. Her zest for life extended to the competition of archery, where she proudly earned the title of archery state champion. Carole's enthusiasm also found expression in leisure activities, such as dancing, playing cards, crafting and enjoying time with her red hat group.
Carole was wise beyond her years, possessing a thoughtful and kind personality that was shaped by her desire to pay it forward. Her loving demeanor reverberated throughout her family, as she nurtured a home filled with warmth and support.
Her family will forever hold dear the memory of her engaging spirit, Carole's love and dedication were profoundly felt by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
In addition to her immediate family, Carole grieved the loss of her son, Michael G. Moore (Mark Goodner, Surviving), and grandson Aaron Barber II, who preceded her in death.
A visitation will be held on April 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Washington Park East, located at 10722 E Washington St, Indianapolis. This will be followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. She will be laid to rest among the beautiful trees and blossoms that reflect the life she embraced. Carole Ann Moore's life was a beautiful composition of family, passion, and resilience. Her legacy of kindness and love will continue to resonate in the hearts of all those she has touched, reminding us that the essence of our lives is defined not just by our achievements but by how deeply we care for others.
