Carole Bell Wells

Carole B. Dickerson Wells of Danville, IN, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2021 after struggling with Parkinson’s disease. She was blessed to be in the comfort of her home as she desired. Cared for by her husband Willie and family.

Carole known by her friends and family by her nickname Cookie attended Washington High School in Indianapolis, and retired as window clerk after 25 years of service at the Post Office.

She will be remembered for her silly humor and sweet smile. As well as her gentle kindness toward all that she knew. Many will miss her special recipe of pecan pie she always seemed to share a the most needed times.

Carole was preceded in death by her parents Earl Dickerson and Mary Lawall.

Survivors are her husband Willie Wells, daughters, Carole (Jim) Layman, Mary (Mike) Armstrong, Elizabeth (Doug) Wynn. Grandchildren Kristin (Brian) Short, Jim (Cari) Feedback, Jason Feeback, Steven Barger, Nathanael Barger and 8 great grandchildren and one brother, Clark Dickerson.
