Carol A. Lamb, born on January 19, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on January 23, 2026. She departed this world surrounded by the warmth and love that she so generously shared with everyone she met.
Carol, whose maiden name was Apple, will be remembered for her unwavering support and kindness. She was a nurturing figure, embodying a spirit of generosity that made her everyone’s beloved mother. Her home was a sanctuary where no one was ever turned away from the dinner table, a place where the neighborhood children flocked, drawn to her comforting presence.
Her love for family was her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her devoted family, including her siblings, Paul Johnson and Beverly Sue Carter, her children Ruth A. Dwight Carter, Harold Eugene Lamb, Randy Joe Lamb, and Danny Allen (Pamela) Lamb. Carol also leaves behind her grandchildren, Justin, Charles, Dwight II, Ashley, Harold Jr., Brian Tinsley, Dakota Lamb, Jeff, Mitch, Andy, Teddy, George, Lonny, and Nancy Sueann along with step-grandchildren Amanda, Stephanie, and Samantha, and many great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love.
She stands among the cherished memories, famously known for her infectious smile and engaging conversations. Carol had a passion for watching cowboy shows and westerns, which were a reflection of her spirited personality. Her presence was far-reaching; she was always there for everyone.
Carol was predeceased by her husband, Harold Lamb, her grandson Daniel, her parents Ross Harold and Ruth Mary (Hughes) Apple, and her siblings Phillip Apple, William Apple, and Kay Osborn. While her physical absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her, her spirit will live on in the hearts she touched.
A visitation will be held in her honor on February 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Both events will take place at the Flanner Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Conner Suite, located at 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
