She was a long time cheerleading coach for Our Lady of Lourdes and in 1986 received the Msgr. Albert Busald Award and St. John Bosco Medal, for her dedication to Catholic Youth Sports. She took pride in her work as a girls softball coach for Irvington Little League (Go Phillies!). She spent many years as a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Society where she made lifelong friends and wonderful memories. Carol was passionate about her work for the American Diabetes Association and organized Team Roembke for the Annual Step Out to Stop Diabetes Walk in honor of her sister and nephew. Team Roembke will carry on this fight for her. She is survived by her mother Mary Lou; and her brothers and sisters Greg (Jane), Mark (Sharon), Bradd (Leigh Ann), Diane (Tom) Bohannon, and Peggy (Kurt) Schleter; and sister-in-law Darcy Roembke. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry W. Roembke Jr. and brother H. Scott Roembke. Carol was a dedicated and loving aunt to 18 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews.
