Carol “Sue” Clark, 80, Carmel, passed away on July 22, 2024. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Donald Christophersen and Helen Jean (Meinardi) Christophersen. 

Sue’s fierce love for her family and friends was at the core of everything she did. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, whose love knew no bounds. She was a pillar of strength and compassion. Her unwavering support and encouragement were constants in the lives of her husband, children and grandchildren, always celebrating their achievements and loyally supporting them through every endeavor. Sue beamed with pride watching her loved one's shine during countless sporting events, performances, and special occasions over the years. Her greatest joy was being with her family. 

Known for her unwavering selflessness, Sue’s generosity extended beyond her family. Her passion for helping others was evident in her support for numerous charitable organizations and philanthropies. From animal welfare causes to veteran support groups, and from medical research to humanitarian efforts, Sue dedicated herself to uplifting those in need.

Sue will be dearly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. 

Immediate survivors include her husband of 59 years, Dr. Percy Clark Jr., son Mark Clark, daughter Michelle Hammett (Kevin), daughter Nicole Clark, and grandchildren Perri, Evan, Payton, Emerson, and Carter Hammett. 

A private service for immediate family members will be held. In lieu of a formal service and flowers, donations may be made in honor of Sue to one of the many charities near and dear to her heart, reflecting her lifelong commitment to helping others.
