Carol Bonham

Carol Marie May Bonham Born July 6, 1926 in Princeton, IL to Truman Ward and Margaret C. May. Carol attended and graduated from the Edwardsville Il., local grade schools and high school. She was a graduate of Alton Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Alton, IL and was a registered nurse in IL, and IN. She retired from Methodist Hospital of Indiana (IU Health). She also worked at Hendricks Community and Floyd Memorial Hospitals. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood, the Quilters Guild of Indianapolis, a charter member of OASIS (Older Adult Services and Information Systems) and a volunteer at Methodist Hospital Center for Geriatric Medicine. She was a member of the Broad Ripple United Methodist Church and its Esther Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, the Rev. Earl T. Bonham, a retired United Methodist Pastor, and their son Mark L. Bonham. Carol is survived by her 4 daughters Carol E. Bonham Grow, Nancy L. Bonham, Barbara A. Carlson, and Rebecca S. Manifold; 2 sons, Paul C. and Rex W. Bonham; eleven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Martha I. May Stewart of Alton, IL and 3 nieces and nephews. Calling will be on Monday March 4, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple, and services will be on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service in the funeral center. Interment will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Broad Ripple United Methodist Church or the Methodist Health Foundation.
