Carol Ann Hindsley,

of Indianapolis passed awaypeacefully on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Vincent in Indianapolis. She wasborn December 24, 1926 in Union City, IN, the daughter of Walter and RuthVernon.

Carol graduated from UnionCity high school in 1944, then was married to her high school sweetheartRolland (Bud) Hindsley on June 22, 1946, shortly after Bud returned from hisservice in WWII and they soon began their family of 3 children. Carol servedmost years as homemaker/housewife but also worked various jobs, at Kirschbaum’s/UnionCity and Ball Stores/Muncie, plus she volunteered for 20 years at the SalvationArmy. Bud and Carol lived in Union City for 16 years, then in Muncie for 48years before moving to American Village in Indianapolis 5 years ago.

She is preceded in death byher parents and a sister, Jeanne Trissell.

Survivors include her husbandof 69 years, Bud Hindsley; 2 daughters, Kathy Gamlem, Seattle, WA, Karen (Jody)Tetrault, Indianapolis, and son Keith Hindsley, Los Angeles, CA; 4grandchildren (Tamara, Todd, Travis, Tyler) and 7 great grandchildren (Jacob,Joseph, Jennah, Lucas, Logan, Landon, Evy).

A graveside service will beheld for the family at a later date in Union City.
