Carol M. Andrejasich of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on June 19, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born in Waukegan, IL, on November 5, 1937, to parents, Matt F. and Frances M. (Petric) Slana. Carol graduated and received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She also completed her master’s degrees in library sciences, and her master’s in business administration. She worked for Eli Lilly in research until her retirement in 1999. Carol also received her degree in pastoral care. She was spiritual mother to more than 25 seminarians. She was an accomplished musician and provided music for various churches for many years. One of her life goals, which she accomplished, was to donate to, as well as serve, in as many charitable institutions and organizations as possible. She truly embodied Jesus’ directive to love our neighbors, treating everyone she encountered with kindness and respect. 

Carol married Raymond J. Andrejasich on September 9, 1961 they had 55 wonderful years together, he preceded her in death. She is survived by siblings, Matthew (Trish) Slana, Rosemary (Tom) Standish, Mary Alice (Tom) Hope; numerous niece and nephews, as well as close friends throughout the country. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 10:30am until 11:30am, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at St. Augustine Home for the Aged (2345 W. 86th St. Indianapolis, IN 46260). A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30am, July 2, 2024, directly following the visitation. Burial will follow funeral service at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
