Carmen Alicia (Galiano) Woodworth

Carmen Alicia (Galiano) Woodworth, born May 15, 1930 in Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2016. She spent the first half of her life in New York, where she loved spending time with family and friends going to theater and social dances. Like her brothers, Carmen was a gifted artist – particularly loving watercolor and sketching. She was also very proud of her Spanish heritage, as her parents and brothers immigrated from Galicia, Spain.

Carmen was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack Woodworth, as well as her parents, Julio and Carmen Galiano, brothers, Julius and Gustave Galiano. She is survived by her sons John (Denise) and Jim (Rita) Woodworth and daughter Christine (Sean) O'Connor. Grandchildren Evan (Victoria), Meghan (Jason), Blaise, Emily (Matthew), Eric, Bridget, Collin, Luke, and Alex. Great grandchildren Thomas, Cooper, Tucker, and Shawn.

Memorial services will be held on Friday March 4, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church in Carmel, IN. Calling will begin at 9:30 am, a memorial mass will follow immediately at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Seeds of Hope. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
