Carlton D. Carter, 63, of Anderson, IN passed away September 13, 2017. He was born in Valdosta, Georgia February 27, 1954. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and was awarded 2 Bronze Stars and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. He had been a Mechanic and had worked for Chrysler Foundry in Indianapolis and later in Belvidere, IL. He retired from Chrysler this year. He was a motor cycle enthusiast and raced Sprint Cars and Go Karts.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian (Browning) Carter; children, Stephanie M Clark and her husband Russell, Michael Carlton Carter and his wife Lindsey and Stacy D. Pulley and her husband Nathaniel; his grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Wilmer, Isabelle, Ellis, Alexis and a grandchild due to arrive early next year. He is also survived by his sister Cameille Carter-Pinder and her husband Stevan; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, September 18 at Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis Indiana 46229. Visitation will be Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8 PM.
