Carlian Lewis Sloan, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 10th, 2021. He was born in Allen County, Kentucky to the late Cecil and Lola (Lewis) Sloan on March 17th, 1936.
Carlian was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He spent many years working, always needing to be on the move.
In his downtime, he loved to go on vacation and spending time at the ocean. He enjoyed watching sports, in particular University of Kentucky. He loved to play golf and going to car shows as well. He adored sitting on the patio and being outside. He loved listening to music, especially Elvis, the Rolling Stones, and the Eagles.
He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley (Booe) Sloan; siblings Louise Hunt, Larry Sloan, and Lila Martin; and his parents.
He is survived by children Lisa D. Sloan (Guy Johnson), Harold R. Sells Sr. (Jodi), and Roger D. Sells; grandchildren Harold R. Sells Jr. (Annabelle) and Erica Sells; and great-grandchildren Haley, Connor, and Mia Sells.
Graveside service will be held on Friday May 14th at 11 am at Washington Park East Cemetery.
