Carleen J. Paul

Carleen J. (Donnelly) Paul, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Community North Hospital. She was born in Indianapolis, IN and was a graduate of Scecina High School, St. Elizabeth School of Nursing and from St. Joseph College where she received her BS in Nursing Administration. She was the first Director of the Community East Psychiatric Unit, and was the Director of the Salvation Army Detox Center. She was also the Corporate Director of Nursing for the Koala Centers. She was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Mauma (Galbo) Schmutte. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Larry D. Paul; her son Michael J. Paul (Karen) of Indianapolis; 2 grandchildren, Levi and Heather, 2 brothers, Jim Schumutte (Mary Ann) of Muncie, Pete Schumutte (Janice) of Indianapolis; and a sister, Terri Tuttle of Indianapolis. A funeral mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 26, 2013 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 E. 56th St., Indianapolis, IN 46220. Visitation will be held Thursday, at Flanner and Buchanan, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
