Indianapolis, Indiana – Carla Jo Jordan, 82, joined her husband Richard in peace on April 28, 2025. Her generosity and her fun-loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carla was born in Indianapolis to parents Charles F. Miller and Marilyn O. (Smith) Miller on April 18, 1943. After graduating from Thomas Carr Howe High School, she entered the workforce and eventually retired from Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) as one of their customer service representatives.
Much more than her work, Carla was a woman who loved life and enjoyed time with her friends and family. A woman who knew what she wanted from life, Carla was known to all her friends as a woman with few words but strong opinions. She was a role model for her friends, a fabulous cook, and known for a tidy house where everything had its place, and everything was in its place.
Carla had a deep appreciation for being outdoors, maintaining a camper site with her husband, close to her parents and many friends. She loved to camp, boat, and just be near the water. She also enjoyed reading, mysteries especially, watching NASCAR, and hosting Indy 500 race pool parties
Carla kept friendships and relationships for many years. They were important to her. Sometimes, Carla dabbled in matchmaking, introducing two of her close friends to their forever mates.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Richard Jordan.
A graveside service will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery (10612 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229) on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 1 pm.
