Carla Victoria Fluke, 71, of Fishers, Indiana, departed this world on July 10, 2026, leaving behind a profound legacy of love, laughter, and warmth. Throughout a prolonged illness, Carla displayed the same characteristic strength and grace that defined her entire life, ensuring she could remain in the comfort of her home, creating precious memories surrounded by her family until the very end.

Carla was born on March 16, 1955, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Valentina J. Parsons-Wisniewski and the late Richard W. Parsons. Raised in a family that deeply cherished togetherness, she carried these core values with her always.

On August 2, 1975, in Enterprise, Alabama, Carla married the love of her life, Bryan C. Fluke. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with joy and adventure spanning 50 years. Carla was a devoted wife and an inspiring sounding board for Bryan. Together, they raised two daughters, Catherine (Nathan) and Elizabeth (Steven). As "Gamma," Carla absolutely doted on her five grandchildren—Bryn, Ayden, Finlay, Owen, and Grady—who brought immense happiness to her life. While deeply loving and nurturing, Gamma famously "ran a tight ship," ensuring her grandchildren understood the value of hard work and responsibility.

Carla began her academic journey at Enterprise Junior College, earning an Associate of Arts degree. Driven by a natural desire to care for others, she pursued nursing, obtaining her Registered Nursing License in 1978 and later graduating with her four-year degree from Troy State University in 1984. While she dedicated several impactful years to the nursing profession, her truest and most cherished calling was creating a home and raising her daughters—a role at which she truly excelled.

Carla was an active member of Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church since 1994, she had a profound faith which she relied on heavily and ensured was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She knew her way around the garden and Carla’s ability to design and care for a planting bed delighted chipmunks, rabbits, and the like from South Bend down to Fishers. She was downright skilled and her talent lives on in the meticulously crafted sewing and quilting projects she lovingly gifted to family and friends. Among her favorite pastimes were quiet evenings out at restaurants with Bryan, enjoying good food and each other's company.

Carla’s vibrant personality and quick wit left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She possessed an unyielding fortitude, a sharp intellect and truly enjoyed her home — she could often be found dancing in the kitchen to her favorite music or whipping up a delicious meal. Her fierce love for her family was unmatched—though it was arguably rivaled by her humorous, lifelong disdain for raccoons.

In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, Carla is survived by her loving mother, Valentina; her siblings, Christina Fairlie (Andrew), Cory Persons (Scott), and Christopher Parsons (Rona); as well as a large, loving extended family and countless cherished friends who will miss her dearly.

A service celebrating Carla’s beautiful life will be held on November 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel at Holy Spirit at Geist (10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, IN 46037). She will be laid to rest at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carla’s memory to the ALS Association.

Carla’s life was a rich tapestry of love, dedication, and joy. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy, and a family who will continue to honor her memory for generations to come.
