Carl Merritt

Carl T. “Tom” Merritt 73, Indianapolis died March 10, 2011. Carl was a Deputy Sheriff for the Marion County Sheriff’s Department for 32 years, retiring in 1998. He also proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. He was a member of the Polish Club and Retired Sheriff’s Association. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. He is survived by his wife Marjorie A. Merritt, sons Thomas J., Stephen M. Merritt, stepdaughter Ann Zintel Brown, stepson David Zintel, a sister Kris Klimczak and 3 grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Thursday 12noon at Flanner and Buchanan Broad Ripple Funeral Center, with calling one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Union Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
