Carl Joseph Kovitz

Carl Joseph Kovitz, 79, of Pittsboro (formerly of Friendswood, TX) died March 30, 2015. Carl was born in Scranton, PA, on April 21, 1935, to Henry "Hank" S. and Marcia M. (Dukauskas) Kovitz. Carl was a 50 year member of the Friendswood Church of Christ in Friendswood, TX, and recently attended Kingsway Christian Church in Avon, IN. Carl served our country in the Military Reserves and was a mechanical engineer working on the Gemini and Apollo Space Missions for NASA at the Johnson Space Center. He then went to work for ARAMCO where he retired in 1992. A memorial calling will be held on Saturday, April 04, 2015, at West Ridge Park Cemetery 9295 West 21st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46234 in the Chapel beginning at 1:30 pm followed by the memorial service at 2 pm. Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years Doris E. (Lansdon) Kovitz, their children Carla (Steve) Berryman and Jeffery (Debbie) Kovitz, six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Inurnment will be in West Ridge Park Cemetery.
