Carl E. Dockery

D Carl E. Dockery 81 of Indianapolis, IN. Beloved husband, dad and pappaw, passed away on November 23, 2012. Carl was born on May 2, 1931 in Cairo, Illinois the son of Ernest and Rebecca (Perkins) Dockery. He retired as district salesman with MAB Paints after 21 years of service. Carl served in the U S Army and was a member of the Brownsburg Masonic Lodge. He was a volunteer coach and umpire for Little League Baseball and Football at Christian Park and Warren Township and was a avid sports fan. Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved to sing. Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra (Sheets) Dockery; 2 daughters, Kimlarie (Brian) Lloyd and Sherri (Scott) Davis; 6 grandchildren, Garrett and Gabriel Lloyd, Hayden, Elizabeth and Tyler Davis and Dominique (Adam) Ahramovich; 1 great granddaughter, Harper Ahramovich and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan - Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. The family has suggested contributions may be made to the American Lung Association .
