Bunita King

Bunita R. King, 75 of Westfield, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017. Bunni , as she was known by most, was born May 18, 1942 in Lafayette, IN to the late Ivan and Ruth Barratt. She exuded love and touched many lives through her years in child care at Broad Ripple and St. Luke’s United Methodist Churches. Bunni always had a book in one hand and a child in the other. She knew everyone, even if only for a moment. She will be sorely missed by anyone and everyone who had ever crossed her path.

Memorial visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 pm Saturday, July 29 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel.

Bunita is survived by her children, Kandace J. (husband, Martin) Rising, Barry Haggard and Karen B. (husband, Andy) Tucker; grandchildren, Taylor DuBois, Kelly and Tyler Rising, MacKenzie and Samantha Haggard, Lillian, Garrett, Owen and Brinley Tucker; brothers, Rick and Scott Barratt. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marty Barratt.
