Buddy Sheats

Buddy Dean Sheats, 73 of Indianapolis and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on March 29, 2011. He was born August 5, 1937 in Indianapolis to the late Fred and Ruth Sheats. Buddy attended Tech High School and was married to Nancy Lee Meador on September 21, 1958. He was president of Sheats Tool & Supply Co, Inc. for over 40 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Murat Shrine and Scottish Rite, and was an avid sports fan. Buddy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all he ever met. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his devoted children, Jeffrey and Deanna (husband Larry) Robbins; grandson, River Robbins; brother, Leonard (wife Mickey) Sheats, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, April 1 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Broad Ripple, where Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts take the form of donations to the March of Dimes General Fund or the Shriners Hospitals for Children. See donation info at the left of this.
