Bryce E. Richard

Bryce E. Richard, 82 of Carmel, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011 at his home. Bryce was born March 1, 1929 in Portsmouth, OH to the late Archie and Mary Alice Noxsel Richard. He served in the US Air Force and was a 1972 graduate of his beloved Ohio State University and was a member of the Ohio State Alumni Association. Bryce was a plant manager for Westinghouse and Bryant Heating and Cooling (later Carrier). He retired from Consolidated Engineering. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, June 14 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Carmel, where friends and family are invited to gather from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Bryce was the widower of Karen G. Ploesser Richard and Rosemary Moe Richard. He is survived by his children, Mark A Richard, Carol (husband, Tom) Oswald, Joy (husband, Mark) Warren, Jennifer (husband, Chuck) Nordin, Jane (husband, Eric) Hull, Barbara Richard (partner, Nancy Hubbard), James (wife, Mary) Richard; 12 grandchildren; brothers, David (wife, Nola) Richard, Howard (wife, Arlene) Richard; sisters, Mary Broughton, Alma (husband, Bill) Hale, Nancy (husband, James) Lynd. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Richard and brothers, Russell, Charles and Robert Richard. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmel Clay Library Foundation.
