Bruce A. Emond, 72 of Noblesville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday April 3, 2019. He was born on August 24, 1946 in Baraboo, Wisconsin to the late Albert and Lorene Emond. Like his father, he served in the United States Army, then spent most of his career as an engineering supervisor with General Motors/Guide Div, and retired after 40 years. Bruce adored his wife, and was extremely proud of his daughters. He loved visits with his grandchildren, playing tennis, and working with his hands. His curiosity and intelligence allowed him to enjoy countless home improvement projects. He was an extremely patient, detail-oriented man, and was typically found outside working in his yard. He also appreciated fast cars; frequenting the Indy 500 race, collecting various sports cars over the years, and making life-long friends as a member of the Corvette Club. Bruce will be remembered for his kind, gentle, and soft-spoken demeanor.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Diane Emond; daughters, Dr. Laura (Dr. Kyle) Kimble, Dr. Melissa (Kristopher) Bright; grandchildren, Nathan, Jonah, Lucas, Samuel and Evelyn Kimble, and Baby Girl Bright who will arrive in September; sister, Lynne (Gerald) Shuya; sister-in-law, Sharon (Michael) Rakowski; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by his parents and sister, Judith Reuter.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday April 7, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Church (2801 Lincoln Street, Anderson, Indiana 46016). Additional visiting hours will be held on Monday April 8, 2019 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, where a Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am. Luncheon will immediately follow, before 2:00 pm processional to Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery in Westfield. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or the Indiana Parkinson’s Foundation.
