Brian Richard Stewart

Brian Richard Stewart, 75, Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 2, 2026, peacefully in his sleep. Brian was born January 2, 1951, in London, England to Helen and Bernard Stewart.

Brian completed 2 years’ service in the Royal Army before moving to America in the pursuit of a lifelong journey in auto racing. He worked for major race teams and travelled the world. Upon settling in Indianapolis, he owned and operated Autocar Sports & Classics until retirement. Brian survived cancer, twice, as a testament to his strength, determination, and dedication to his family. He will always be remembered for his dry wit, enthusiasm for life, and the example he provided to us all.

Brian is survived by his wife, Deborah; son, Derek; daughter, Heather; and five grandchildren, Carter, Cole, Wade, AJ, and Spencer.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held in Indianapolis on May 2, 2026, at Krannert Park from 1 – 3 P.M. All are welcome to attend. No R.S.V.P.
