Brian K. Powers

Brian passed away in his sleep on Saturday, October 25, 2025. He was surrounded by his immediate family and left this world peacefully. Brian knew how to make people feel warm and welcome. Brian was a good son and partner, a true friend and loved by many that he met in his lifetime.

Brian was born and grew up in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Indianapolis in the late ‘90s.

Brian was a devoted dad to his daughter Imani. He absolutely adored and loved her as she grew up to become a beautiful, talented, kind and intelligent person.

Brian is survived by his daughter Imani Powers, his mother Eleanor Powers, his partner Katie Salts, his nieces and nephews, and his extended family.

Brian loved music and film, and his collection varied greatly. He enjoyed sports and was a Lakers, Colts and Raiders fan. His favorite place to be was either spending time with his family and friends, or being alone in the world of music and catching up on current events.

Anyone who knew Brian knows that he was a private man who lived exactly as he wanted. Brian will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm at the Lions Head clubhouse at 7420 Lions Head Dr, Indianapolis IN 46260.

Dress as Brian lived, casual and comfortable.
