Brian Keith Harvey, 54 of Brownsburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Brian was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Patricia A. Byrd and Robert William Harvey on September 27, 1967. Brian left this world peacefully, surrounded by family. Brian’s light shined bright in this world. His larger-than-life personality made him the life of every party he attended. His infectious laugh, bright smile and positive attitude touched all who knew him.
Brian attended Northwest High School and went on to drive for IMI Irving Materials (“Hollywood”) for close to thirty years. Brian was looking forward to retirement and traveling with his fiancé, Carmen Radez.
Brian’s favorite activities included spending time with his children, grandchildren and his numerous friends and family. Brian was an avid Colts football fan and Indy Car / Nascar fan. You could always find Brian working on his Jeep or hanging out with family and friends. Brian was always there for others and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Brian’s legacy is the values he instilled in his surviving sons, Kaden Meador, Kameran Harvey (Caileigh), Cody Harvey and his eight grandchildren. Family first, honesty, hard work, generosity, and how to love unconditionally. Brian’s greatest pride and joy was his sons and his grandchildren. He was immensely proud of the men his sons had become.
Brian’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Brian is also survived by his mother, Patricia Byrd, sisters Shelly Young, (partner Mike Abner) and Sheryl Lynch (Kenny), brothers Tony Harvey, Brad Harvey and numerous nephews and a niece. Brian was preceded in death by his stepfather, Stanley Byrd, brother, Sean Byrd, sister, Sheila Byrd and nephew, Bobby Bunch.
Visitation will be on August 2, 2022 from 4-8 pm, at Flanner and Buchanan in Speedway, Indiana. A funeral service will be held at the same location on August 3, 2022 at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend. Burial will be at West Ridge Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN, immediately following the service.
