Brett Ryan Finbloom, 18, Carmel, passed away August 5, 2012. He was born November 8, 1993, the son of Norman and Dawn (Wiegand) Finbloom.
Brett was a 2012 graduate of Carmel High School, where he was a member of the Varsity soccer team, Student Venture, Think About It Club, and the Do Something Club. He was voted Best-Dressed his senior year. He also played in a high-level travel soccer club and he volunteered at the Monon Center, where he worked with teenage special needs.
He was preparing to move next week to the University of Oklahoma, where he planned to study business. He recently returned from orientation at Camp Crimson, where he received the "Camper Award".
Brett is survived by his parents; sister, Jenna Finbloom; grandparents, Keith and Dee Wiegand, Lorraine Finbloom; aunts and uncle, Alan (Karen) Finbloom and Karen Meyers; cousins, Rachel (Jonathan) Shapiro, Laura Finbloom, Scott Meyers, Lisa (Mark) Hirsch; and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Finbloom.
A celebration of life will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012, at Carmel Lutheran Church, 4850 East Main Street. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the church.
