Brenda S. Weisheit, 81, of Bedford, Indiana, passed away on April 2, 2024, in Greenfield, Indiana, with her family by her side. She was born on July 29, 1942, in Lawrence County’s Bedford, Indiana, to parents, Harold E. Manion and Marie (Hale) Manion.
Having been born and raised in Bedford, Indiana, Brenda made the journey with her late husband, Kent, and moved to Indianapolis to start her career at Western Electric. In her 20-year tenure there, Brenda showcased dedication and hard work. She worked there until the time of her husband’s passing, at which point she moved back to her hometown. Additionally, she extended her nurturing nature as a childcare provider, looking after children in daycare settings. However, beyond any professional achievement, Brenda found profound fulfillment in her roles as a wife, mom and Mamaw. Her ability to selflessly care for others exemplified the immense love she carried in her heart.
Described as someone who possessed the biggest heart, she was well known for her unwavering kindness and compassion that she shared with everyone she met. Brenda touched the hearts of many with her nurturing spirit and boundless love. She had a heart as vast as the ocean and a desire to ensure the well-being of everyone around her. Her proudest accomplishments revolved around her family whom she adored deeply. Brenda also found solace and strength in her faith as a member of Gray Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kent L. Weisheit; her parents; brother, Wayne Manion; and grandson, Wade Baker.
Brenda leaves behind her daughter, Shelley (Michael) Green; grandchildren, Johnny Weisheit, Shelley McColley (Justin), and Stephen Baker (Kristen); great-grandchildren, Anthony Hill (Brianna), Brendon Davis, Johnny Weisheit Jr., Jeannae Weisheit, Olivia McColley, Layne McColley, Madison Baker, and Riley Baker; great-great-grandchildren, Madison Hill and Levi Hill; sisters, Rita Franklin (Benny) and Melanie Manion (Lincoln); brother, Mike Manion; sister-in-law, Sandra Moore; special friend, Michael Dion; and many other family and friends.
Visitation for Brenda will be from 1p-3p on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Good Shepherd Chapel) – 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250, with a funeral service immediately following at 3p. Burial will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
