Carmel

Brenda Mae Totman, 80 of Carmel, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 29, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Brenda was born October 19, 1944 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Valley and Beulah Bigham. She was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School and spent most of her life playing a major role at Lighthouse Tabernacle filling many roles that significantly touched many lives with the love of Jesus! She was also a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Some of her enjoyments included motorcycles, jet skis, scuba diving, singing her favorite songs at church, planting flowers, creating opportunities to share Christ and most of all she enjoyed her family time!

Brenda was an amazing friend, daughter, sister, wife, mom, grandma and as Jasper called her GGB. She was married for 47 years and lived a life that set the bar high with character, commitment and integrity that made us all keep reaching! Her significance didn’t come from things on the outside but from her faith that was built through an unshakable relationship with Jesus Christ! In the moment, in the twinkling of an eye her faith has now become sight!

Brenda was the widow of Pastor David Totman. She is survived by her children, Angela S. Totman - Walker and David W. (Linda) Totman; grandchildren, James (Christa) Totman, Jacob (Madeline) Totman, Hollin Totman, Hannah Totman, Clayton Walker, Carson Walker; great grandson, Jasper Totman; siblings, Gwen (Bob) Taylor, Richard (Ann) Bigham, Sharon (Dick) Rosemeyer, Donald (Julie) Bigham, Stephen (Judy) Bigham, Helen (David) Miller; many beloved wonderful nieces and nephews.
