Brenda Ann Pettigrew
On October 1st, 1952, John Sr & Zenovia J Pettigrew gave birth to their 5th child whom they named Brenda Ann Pettigrew born in Lebanon, Kentucky. Brenda was affectionately called “Dubbie” by her family and Debbie by others. She confessed a hope in Christ at a young age while attending New Day Pentecostal Church in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
The family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1965. Brenda attended George Washington High School graduating in 1968. Brenda also attended Indiana Business College.
Brenda met John E. Stingley Sr in 1969 and together they had two children, a daughter Regina and a son John aka “John John”. The young family moved on Haugh St in 1972, where Brenda resided at the time of her death.
Brenda worked at American Art & Clay Company for many years where she took an early retirement, then becoming a homemaker. Brenda was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed talking on the phone with family & friends, taking “family trips”; She would always get up at the crack of dawn to fry chicken for road trips. She also enjoyed playing her *special numbers* in the daily lottery. Brenda loved watching basketball and football supporting her hometown teams (Colts & Pacers). She would often fuss at the TV when they were losing. Her favorite thing to do was online shopping; QVC and HSN were her best friends.
